NOTED Hindi poet Shri Rajesh Chetan was felicitated with Guru Golwalkar Kavya Puraskar in New Delhi on Valmiki Jayanti Day, October 27. Noted Kathak dancers, Nalini-Kamalini, were also honoured with Gopal Krishna Arora Smriti Samman. Both the Puraskars were presented by Delhi Prant Sanghachalak Shri Kulbhushan Ahuja. The function was organised by Sanskar Bharati, Delhi.
A Kavi Sammelan was also organised on the occasion. Many leading Hindi poets including Dr Kunvar Bechain, Shri Jagbir Rathi, Smt Madhumohini Upadhyaya, Shri Charanjit Charan, Shri Padam Albela, Shri Harmindra Pal recited their poems.
Prior to it, Shri Ayodhya Prasad Kumud, Akhil Bharatiya Lok Kala Pramukh of Sanskar Bharati spoke about the Sanskar Bharati activities. Noted social activist Shri Brijmohan Sethi and noted Kathak Guru Shri Jitendra Maharaj were also present on the occasion.                  (FOC)
