Swayamsevak corporator celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi with civic workers

SETTING an example as a social worker, Shri MK Shankar, the corporator of Mysore municipality celebrated Gouri-Ganesh festival with civic workers in the presence of RSS top functionaries on September 18. It was the 3rd continuous year Shri Shankar is celebrating the festival along with municipality workers in his residence. The bagina, a religious offering given to a relative during festivals, was given to all municipality workers. Dhoti, shirt, sari were distributed to each one by Smt and Shri Shankar. RSS Prant Sanghachalak Shri Venkataram, noted Kannada writer Dr SL Bhairappa, RSS Mysore Zila Sangha-chalak Shri KP Pradyumna were also present on the occasion.
Dr SL Bhairappa appreciated the effort of Shri Shankar, and said, “Shri Shankar is setting an example for the other corporators to respect and honour all professions at any level. Workers should be respected keeping the caste, creed, language and all others barriers aside.”
