Dr Yashodhar Mathpal honoured with Hindu Ratna Award?
Noted archaeologist Dr Yashodhar Mathpal was felicitated with Hindu Ratna Award by the Hindu Helpline at its first anniversary function organised in Indore on April 8. The award was conferred by national working president of the VHP Dr Pravin Togadia.
After doing PhD in Archaeology, Dr Mathpal studied over 400 caves from Madhya Pradesh’s Bheem Betka to Uttaranchal’s Bheem Taal region and also in Southern parts of Bharat for understanding and analysing the rock art and cave paintings done in ancient times—some date back over 15,000 years! He has a fantastic collection of their reproductions in the Lok Kala Sangrahaalay in Uttaranchal Hills at Bheem Taal, the museum that he created single handed with scarce resources.
Hindu Helpline confers Hindu Ratna Award to those who have been doing great work in the fields of Bharat’s art and culture, science and technology, education, tribal welfare, trade and businesses, agriculture, medicine, etc. The first award in 2011 was presented to renowned social worker Dr Vinod Kaushik who has been doing a lot for tribal welfare and also to the noted Marathi actor Sharadji Ponkshe.
Hindu Helpline workers from across the country attended the anniversary function. A business diary was also released on the occasion. Dr Togadia said the Hindu Help Line has emerged as the credible friend of the Hindus in distress. He said during the last one year over 5,000 people were extended different kinds of help. Under Dadhichi Blood Donation scheme about 20,000 youth donated blood. (FOC)?
