Sadananda Gowda said that setting up of Gou Sewa Aayog is the significant achievement of the BJP Government as the Aayog will take cow slaughter mafia head on by providing shelter to abandoned, aged and unproductive cattle till their natural dying. Gowda had mentioned in his budget that under the Karnataka Gou Samrakshane Yojana, assistance will be given to Non-Government Organisations.
