DRI felicitated with Utkrishtata Samman

Bharat Vikas Parishad has felicitated Deendayal Research Institute, New Delhi, with the prestigious Utkrishtata Samman for its excellent work in the field of village development. This honour was conferred in the national conference held in Chandigarh some time back. Dr Bharat Pathak, secretary of DRI, received the Samman. The Samman was constituted in the memory of Parishad’s founder Dr Suraj Prakash. The selection was made by a Selection Committee headed by former Chief Justice of India Shri Ramesh Chand Lahoti.  Dr Pathak said the DRI has decided to keep the award money as a corpus and from the interest accruing they propose to honour every year such villages which continues to work independently, out of more than 500 villages in which they are conducting their activities.
