NEW ROUND-UP-6

Congress  MLA, Kalpana Parulekar, was arrested on February 3 for doctoring the photograph of State Lokayukta PP Naolekar to show that he was a former RSS worker. She was arrested from Mahidpur, her constituency in Ujjain district.

The case was registered by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) Bhopal after State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra raised the issue during the last Assembly session. Smt Parulekar had raised the issue during winter session of Vidhan Sabha in last December and had waved the photograph in the House and later circulated in the press.

To prove that the ruling BJP favoured Shri Naolekar, a former Supreme Court Judge, in appointing Lokayukta, Parulekar produced a doctored photograph of Shri Naolekar which showed him in RSS uniform. For this, Naolekar’s photograph was morphed with that of RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat. The photograph was produced in the House during a no-confidence motion.               (FOC)
