Hindu Jagarana Vedike organises huge public meeting demanding Anti-Conversion Law in Karnataka?

By R  Guru Prasad ?

-By aggressively indulging in large scale conversions through  fraudulent methods,  Christian missionaries are misusing the freedom given  by our Constitution to practice any religion and working towards  making India a Christian country  said Shri Bhagaiahji, All India Bouddhik Pramukh of  the RSS.  Shri Bhagaiah  was addressing a massive public meeting organised by  the Hindu Jagarana Vedike in support of the demand for enacting a law to curb conversions in the State, at  Freedom Park at Bengaluru on  November 28.  Before starting of the public meeting, a delegation consisting of the Hindu Jagarana Vedike office bearers and religious leaders submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Shri Sadananda Gowda and urged him to take initiative to bring Anti-Conversion Law in the State. The memorandum  was also submitted to the Home Minister,  the Law and  the Parliamentary Affairs Minister and  the Director General of Police also.

While condemning in strong words the  hidden agenda of Christian groups who are mercilessly converting  poor  Hindus, Shri Bhagaiah said “Conversion is violence. Though our Constitution allow practicing  any religion of their choice, it is illegal for Christian missionaries to make a repeated  door-to-door campaign to reach out to Hindus with the intention of converting.” He opined that the future of our country is in danger as the political leaders  support  minorities for the sake of  ‘Vote Bank’ and the Government officials hesitate to take any action against erring  minorities in the name of secularism.   He further said “In the disguise of providing education , financial assistance and healthcare the missionaries have found an easy way to reach the section of the Hindu  society and get them converted to Christianity.” He pointed out that 16th chapter of the New Testament Bible harshly instruct the Christian missionaries  to destroy the people from other religion  who do not accept Christianity.  Shri Bhagaiah said “We are not against any religion but we strongly oppose conversion by force and request the State Government to bring  the law as soon as possible.”

Noted thinker and researcher Shri M. Chidananda Murthy said that Christian missionaries are throwing a bomb called  Bible  to destroy Hindu Rashtra and  urged the Government  to understand the poisonous effect of conversion on the Hindu society and the negative impact it creates for national integration. While he observed that Supreme Court upheld the Anti-Conversion Law of Madhya Pradesh, he suggested  Karnataka government to use the same draft of the Anti-Conversion Law which is existing in Madhya Pradesh and change the name Karnataka wherever Madhya Pradesh is referred.

Professor Sadhu Rangarajan of Bharat Mata Gurukula fame revealed that within a year, according to the information  available with the World Christian Congress, Indian churches have received 1,700 crore of  rupees from their headquarters to continue the conversion process. Shri Rangarajan further said that  Christian missionaries gives a non-returnable loan to poor Hindus with a condition that they may compulsory turn up   to Churches on  Sunday’s, failing which money has to be returned along with interest.

Sri Sri Madhusudana Puri Swamiji of Omkar Ashram said that Hindusim is a way of life  which is Sanatan Dharma while Bible and Islam are new religions which will not last longer . However he cautioned not to be a mute spectator to illegal conversions and unconstitutional jihad and urged the Hindus to put up a united fight against all the vested interests. Sri Sri Chittangada Swamiji of Ganjam Mutt urged the Government to understand the mindset of Hindus who are silently suffering from the Jihadi’s and Issaiah’s activities and make the Anti-Conversion Law at the earliest.

Shri Raghavendra,  HJV Tumkur Vibhag Sanchalak read out the five resolutions taken by Hindu Jagaran Vedike along with swamis present.
