North-East unit of Sanskar Bharati is going to organise a mega cultural event involving 1,100 children in Guwahati from December 29 to 31. The event will be organised under the Vision 2020 programme envisioned by the Sanskar Bharati Poorvottar. According to Shri Vimal Lath, president of North-East unit, the Sanskar Bharati conducted year long training camps to impart training to the children of all north-eastern states. About 11 lakh children below the age of 15 years representing 86 districts of eight states were imparted training in five art forms. Many workshops were also organised for this objective.

One of the prime attractions of the event is that apart from making an 1,100 metre long painting by the children, thousands of children will sing Vandemataram. It is to be noted that the Sanskar Bharati had started work on Vision 2010 in the year 2006 taking different forms of art. Encouraged with that project, the Vision 2020 has been formulated.
