Sanskrit Sammelan in Jodhpur
Make Sanskrit learning possible to all countrymen

Eminent social activist of Jodhpur Shri Sharad Mundhada emphasised the need to teach Sanskrit to all family members to retain the Bharatiya sanskars. He said it while inaugurating a Sanskrit Sammelan in Jodhpur on October 2.
Endorsing the feelings of Shri Mundhada national general secretary of Samskrit Bharati Shri CM Krishna Shastry said unless we opt for Sanskrit language, we would not be able to garner the ‘ precious knowledge treasure’ hidden in the manuscripts lying everywhere in Bharat. He informed that the Central Government has established a National Manuscript Mission to preserve the Sanskrit books and manuscripts lying at over 4,800 places throughout the country as well as in foreign countries. Therefore, the number of books and manuscripts goes up to many lakhs. To bring the manifold knowledge out for development and prosperity of mankind, every Indian should learn Sanskrit and devote some time for the research work. This will lead us towards a knowledgeable society, which will be ready to teach a proper rout of development and prosperity to the mankind, he added.
Prof of Sanskrit and Head of Department in Jaynarayan Vyas University Shri Satyaprakash Dube applauded the work of Samskrit Bharati saying that it is taking sincere efforts to popularise Sanskrit among the masses. It has been successful in enhancing the Sanskrit speaking population in the country. A textbook, Sarala Sanskrit Examination, was also released by Prof. Dube at the function.
The Sanskrit Sammelan was organised as part of the 27 Sanskrit Sambhashan camps organised in Jodhpur. A play based on the story narrated in Panchatantra was also staged. State secretary Shri Tagsingh Rajpurohit announced that two residential camps would be organised during December vacation this year—one in Jodhpur and the second in Bikaner. (FOC)
