PUJYA Gahira Guru Raktadata Sangh organised a blood donation camp at Vanyogi Balasaheb Hall of Kalyan Ashram office in Jashpur Nagar on August 9. Noted civil surgeon of District Hospital Dr NC Nande was the chief guest. He said blood should be donated only by a healthy person. He said a normal healthy person has five litres of blood in his body and there is no harm in donating one unit i.e. 300 ml blood to a needy.
Shri Sukhnath Singh, Shri Ashutosh Soni and Shri Vishwa Bandhu Sharma were felicitated at the function by Dr Nande for donating blood for over ten times. Dr Nande appreciated the initiative of Dr Pankaj Bhatia who started the project with the support of local people and Dr Vinod Prakash of IDRF. Kalyan Ashram is working for the children with vitamin deficiency with the active support of Dr Vinod Prakash, IDRF USA. IDRF had donated 2 Ambulances for the service of the children in 1992 and 1994.
Dr Ram Prakash Pandey also appreciated the initiative of Dr Bhatia. Dr Mrigendra Singh, incharge of the Kalyan Ashram’s health project thanked all the people who donated blood. He said a total of 1,232 persons have been benefitted with the blood donated by the people under this project. Patron of the Raktadata Sangh Shri Kripa Prasad Singh assured the service to continue in future also for the people of Jashpur Nagar district.
