RSS Sarsanghachalak celebrates Independence Day

RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the national flag on August 15 in Indore. He was in the city for his routine tour. He hoisted the tricolour as part of the Independence Day celebration. RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Dr Manmohan Vaidya, and Malwa Prant Sanghachalak Shri Krishna Kumar Asthana were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering he said though Bharat achieved political Independence on August 15, 1947, the country has still to make Bharat as per the dreams of freedom fighters. “We have achieved fragmented Independence; it needs to be achieved fully. The responsibility of it lies on the youth,” he said stressing the need to take the fruits of Independence to the last person of the society.

Later, the Sarsanghachalak addressed a national workshop of the RSS Prachar Vibhag. Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi, Sahsarkaryavah Shri Dattatreya Hosabale, Akhil Bharatiya Pracharak Pramukh Shri Madan Das, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Dr Manmohan Vaidya, National Executive Member Shri Madhubhai Kulkarni and representatives from 39 Prants were also present at the workshop.

Meanwhile, former Sarsanghachalak Shri KS Sudarshan along with some other senior Sangh leaders hoisted the national flag in Bengaluru on August 15. Speaking at the function, senior Pracharak Sri Chandrasekhar Bhandary memorised the days when India achieved Independence in 1947 and soon was Partitioned. Freedom was not achieved just because of non-violence movement. The contribution of revolutionaries should not be ignored. Non-violence in India as a part of freedom struggle began in 1905 till 1945. Senior Pracharak and National Executive Member Shri Mai Cha Jayadev was also present at the function.
