BAJRANG Dal and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad have demanded immediate ban on extremist organisation, Karnataka Forum for Dignity (KFD). Both the organisations staged strong protest in Bengaluru on June 26 and 24 respectively.

Addressing the protesting Bajrang Dal activists, Shri Surya Narayana Rao, State convenor, said the fundamentalist KFD is involved in many anti-national activities. Karnataka police recently arrested its six members in connection with murder of two students, Sudhindra and Vighnesh of Mysore-Hunasoor. Shri Rao condemned the brutal murder of both the students in strongest words. “KFD has its roots in different parts of the State and has direct connection with various terror activities. It along with its sister organisations like Popular Front of India (PFI), NDF etc, has direct role in communal violence occurred in Karnataka in recent years. Anti-national activities like making fake currency, love-jihad, kidnapping of Hindu girls, murder plans of Hindu leaders, cow slaughtering, gathering of weapons, etc are being done extensively by the members of KFD. Various investigations have proved all these facts,” said Shri Surya Narayana Rao.

Shri Rao demanded to investigate into all economical sources of KFD and said stern legal action should be initiated against it forthwith. Skilled orator Shri Chakravarti Soolibele expressed concern over the growing anti-national activities in the State and demanded immediate ban on KFD.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organised protest from Malleshwaram’s 18th Cross Bus Stand demanding immediate ban on KFD and PFI. KFD is another face of Popular Front of India and SIMI to create threat and terror in the society. Hence, the ABVP demanded the State government to immediately ban all these terror organisations and ask the Central government to declare them terrorist organisations and arrest all the people associated with them.

Addressing the protestors, city secretary of ABVP Shri Ravikumar said KFD has been active in various educational institutions and universities creating an atmosphere of fear among the students and professors. This organisation is nothing but a terrorist organisation which is backed by so-called secular intellectuals. There are many other organisations with different names but their common aim is to collect ransom and blackmailing students. There is a need to expose all such activities and organisations. The ABVP also condemned the silence of the so-called human rights activists who have once again exhibited their biased attitude. “We ask the government to also enquire the suspicious role of such so-called intellectuals, professors and scholars who have always been found supporting such kind of activities and organisations,” he said.

Later, a delegation under the leadership of ABVP divisional organisational secretary Shri Vasant Kumar submitted a memorandum to Principal Secretary, Home Ministry and urged for immediate ban on these organisations. ABVP State joint secretary Pushpa, city joint secretary Gagan, State executive members Naveen, Mahesh were also present at the protest.
