BADRI Bhagat Jhandewala Temple Society, in association with the Rotary Blood Bank, organised a blood donation camp at the temple premises in Delhi on March 6. The camp was organised in the memory of former president of the Temple Society the late Prem Kapur. Over 100 people donated blood. The camp was inaugurated by Mahamandaleshwar Swami Anubhutanand Maharaj
Inaugurating the camp, Swami Anubhutanand Maharaj said the blood donated by the people at the camp would be used for the needy, soldiers and the people serving the society. He said all fit and healthy people should donate blood at least twice a year.
It is to be noted that the Badri Bhagat Temple Society runs many service projects for the needy section of the society. Apart from running a regular Ayurvedic, Allopathic and Homeopathic dispensary in the temple premises, the Society runs around 10 projects at different places of Delhi. According to Shri Ramesh Gupta, secretary of the Temple Society, eleven new projects would soon be started. The Society also conducts regular health camps and also runs a medical van which regularly visits slum areas. The Society also helps the service projects being run in Vanvasi areas of the country.
