THE six-day Vishwa Sangh Shivir is going to begin in Pune from December 29. Over 500 volunteers from 60 countries of the world are expected to attend it. Senior leaders will guide the volunteers on different organisational aspects and the issues. RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat will also be in the Shivir for two days. The Shivir is being organised at Pirangut, about 20 km away from Pune by Vishwa Adhyayan Kendra.

The Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) has strong network in more than 25 countries where workers carry out their activities through weekly meetings. Similar Shivirs were earlier organised in Bengaluru, Vadodara, Mumbai and Ahmedabad also.

Some of the activists are expected to arrive in India along with their family for which separate arrangements have been made. Activists of two categories-born in India and born in foreign countries but of India origin, will attend the meet. Orientation of Indian thought and culture is the main purpose of the Shivir. The Shivir will mainly include intellectual sessions, which will also include international issues. (FOC)
