SHYAM, the adopted child of a rich couple is thoroughly spoilt and carefree. He goes through school and college, never wanting for anything. Trouble starts when a proposal comes for marriage from a smart and beautiful girl, Megha.

Daughter of a rich diamond merchant, Megha has also grown up in luxury, getting whatever she laid her finger on.

The two meet and as far as Shyam is concerned, his heart does a roller-coaster and before the reader can take two breaths, he is falling at her feet, confessing true love. “Megh… Megha…I …I…lo…loov…you…” he stammers. To which Megha is cool. In her filmy style she says, “So you be Vanraj,” referring to a character played by actor Ajay Devgan in the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. “So now you reunite me with my Pattu… I mean Pattabhiraman Iyer…” she pleads. “He is my first love…You know one boy kissed me on my hand in sixth class when we were sharing tiffin. That was Pattu. I have been in love with him ever since.” To which Shyam tells himself, “If she wants Pattu, play along.”

Light reading, with lots of suspense and confusion. Who stands where and with whom. “Love is like a train: it takes great power to halt once it gathers speed,” says the book.

So tighten your seat belt and hold your breath while this love train takes you on a high velocity trip.
