RASHTRIYA Patrakarita Kalyan Nyas has invited applications from the media persons for national awards given by it every year in the memory of the late Bapurao Lele. A three-member selection committee has been constituted to select the winners. The last date for sending the entries is June 15.
The Nyas basically gives three awards every year-Bapurao Lele Rashtriya Patrakarita Puraskar, Dada Saheb Apte Rashtriya Photo Journalism Puraskar and Asha Rani Vohra Rashtriya Mahila Puraskar.
The first Puraskar consists of a cheque of Rs 51,000, a shawl, a coconut and a memento. The other two Puraskars consist of a cheque of Rs 21,000, shawl, coconut and memento to each. The Puraskars will be presented at a function to be organised in Indore on August 27, 2010.
