VHP president Shri Ashok Singhal warned Union Home Minister P Chidambaram to refrain from branding the Hindu saints as ‘terrorists’ and taking action against them. “Shri Chidambaram should keep in mind that an invisible cosmological force stood behind the Ram Setu and the Jammu Kashmir Shrine Board movements that had the government on its knees. Good counsel should prevail on Shri Chidambaram to understand and appreciate this great power that stands to save the Hindu society, and it would be better on his part to withdraw his ‘Hindu terrorism’ statement that is an utter contradiction in terms,” Shri Singhal said in a statement issued from Allahabad on May 13.

The statement said no sooner had the UPA Government under Congress leadership been formed the indicators began showing that this government would have a go at Hindu organisations and ambush them in big conspiracies. The first pointer appeared when in the country of the Sankaracharya tradition that has been interminably there for about 2,500 years, the most respected Sankaracharya Sri Jayendra Saraswati Maharaj was arrested on the eve of the national Hindu festival of Deepavali from Andhra Pradesh on unsubstantiated allegations of murder. After this it was plotted to brand Hindu saints as “Hindu terrorists” and lock them in on the excuse of Malegaon blasts. A series of three narco tests were conducted on Sadhvi Pragya Bharati. Swami Aseemananda – whose service projects had been frustrating the proselytisation activities of Christian missionaries in Gujarat and who was not even remotely connected with Malegaon– was labeled a “Hindu terrorist”. It was, in fact, being worked out to put behind bars the entire top leaderships of the RSS and the VHP dubbing them as being the driving force of ‘Hindu terrorism’. Now again some big conspiracies are being hatched to entrap Hindu organisations.

The statement further said in the post-Godhra events that took place in Gujarat in which over four million Hindus living in forests, mountains, villages, cities, towns, slum areas and prosperous Mohallas came out spontaneously and unanimously for the first time ever against jehadi terrorism after being battered by it for over seven centuries was a manifestation of saattwic force and whatever happened there that is an ideal living example of the non-violence of Gandhiji’s ethos. Hindus always believe in non-violence, tolerance and truth. In order to be penitent for their penchant for jehad, lakhs of Islamic brethren were made to peacefully go to camps and the Hindu society was saved from a holocaust-like situation. Today, the Special Investigating Team (SIT) has become a busybody conspiring round the clock to entrap Hindus’ right from the Chief Minister, government officials to the Sangh and VHP office-bearers on the ploy that whatever happened in Gujarat was not a reaction on the lines of Gandhiji’s non-violence but a conspiracy against Islam.

“Now, two days ago, while releasing Raja Menon and Rajiv Kumar’s book titled Terrorism, the Home Minister P Chidambaram again began spewing venom against the Hindu society by saying that the “increasing Hindu terrorism” in the country was a matter of concern. Being beleaguered by the spate of terrorist attacks and brutal massacres by jehadis and Maoists, it appears that Shri Chidambaram has proved to be a total failure in tackling the terrorism of anti-nationals and in order to douse this agony of defeatism he has found an easy escape route of chanting the unfounded misnomer of “Hindu terrorism” to divert the national attention from his failures. The nation must know that the blasts that are taking place in areas in Bharat that are thickly populated by Muslims including Ajmer, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Surat, are invariably sites of jehadi bomb-making laboratories as have been proved from FIRs registered against the pro-jehadis. Efforts are being made to dub RSS Pracharaks and VHP workers at those places as “Hindu terrorists” on the basis of fabricated mobile contact ‘evidences’ and nab them for the terrorist incidents perpetrated by the anti-national forces. The central and the provincial agencies are engaged in fabricating scandals to humiliate widely popular Hindu figures like Nityanand Swami and Asaram Bapu,” the statement said.

“Till date, their ailment of chronic secularities had made them overwork in finishing off our self-restrained and spiritual culture. Now, in the name of “Hindu terrorism”, they have started finishing off the nationalist organisations and indigenous saints that are committed and dedicated to safeguard the Hindu society– the core national society of Bharat,” the statement added.
