Acharya Vishnukant Shastri memorial lecture in Kolkata

SHREE Burrabazar Kumarsabha Pustakalaya organised Acharya Vishnukant Shastri Memorial Lecture on “Human Aspect of Ramakrishna Paramhansa’s Leelaprasanga” in Kolkata on May 2, the birth anniversary of the great poet, writer and politician.

Well-known scholar and writer Dr Krishna Behari Mishra delivered the lecture. President of Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad Dr Vijoy Bahadur Singh presided over the function. Many other eminent social workers and dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

Dr Krishna Behari Mishra spoke on various aspects of Ramakrishna Paramahansa and said he, as a Lok Katha Vachak having no formal education, did a tremendous work. His two famous (words) teachings were– Jatadin Banchi Tatadin Sikhi (learn in the entire life) and Jibgyane Siv seva (serve the people as Lord Shiva is worshipped everywhere). He further said Acharya Vishnukant Shastri was unparallel in his time in every sphere mainly in his behaviour and noble character.

Dr Vijoy Bahadur Singh spoke on various aspects of Acharya Vishnukant Shastri and stressed the need to do something concrete for remembering the great personalities.
