“HEY men, leave your sisters, mothers, daughters and wives behind for us and you get lost from here”-This was written on the school-walls and even on the breasts of frightened women in 1990. Those who “quack quack” about History Vs modern era and “moderatism” should know that 1990’s Kashmir is not really a history. Those who lost near and dear ones in that vicious ethnic cleansing still exist all over Bharat and worldwide but in Kashmir. Some Kashmiri Pundits and Sikhs still stay there but even a little kid can count them. Just 20 years back socio-ethnic cleansing of all non-Muslims took place in Kashmir.
And now in 2010 that socio-explosive seed has taken a form of a full-blown venomous tree. It is now not just limited to socio-explosive tree but it also has got many socio-political-explosive fruits. From 1990 various governments in the centre and in J&K have relished those fruits and enjoyed power. Now a J&K party has sprung up one more BT (Blatant Terrorism) fruit from that venomous tree. It has the audacity to introduce a bill that snaps all rights of any girl who marries outside J&K. No voting, no property, no work. And if a girl from any other state is married in J&K but for some reasons her marriage breaks or she is widowed, she loses all her rights in J&K. This is neither history nor it is “Mughlai”. But it is worse than that. In 1990 they snatched women and now they are snatching women’s rights!
That socio-explosive seed which got sowed before 1990 and even before 1947 should have been unearthed much before it got its roots tight in. But it was allowed to be grown. Many vested interests even watered and nourished it to reap the fruits of a complete control on J&K through absolute terror which is in simple terms called jehad.
Now in 2010 Bharat’s Home Minister suddenly has got great love for the youth in PoK. He is inviting them to ‘India’ saying “PoK is also a part of India”. Oh! Really? Then why do you have to invite them? And from where to where? Then what about those non-Muslims who were killed and the remaining were looted and then brutally thrown out of PoK in 1947 and 1953? They returned with nothing in their hands to ‘India’ (in HM’s terms-from India to India?). Even today they have not been given Indian citizenship-no voting rights, no property rights-nothing! And those who made a conscious choice to go with Pakistan even before Partition, such people’s progeny-involved in jehad against Bharat all the time-is being invited by Indian Home Minister with such respect. It is obviously a ridiculous behaviour for vote-bank nurturing. It may be smartly projected as “a strategic step to get such youth in the mainstream to prevent them from jehad”. But nothing for those who honestly expressed their love for India and for that they were butchered and thrown out! Why? Just because they simply kept quiet and kept on peacefully being ‘a no state’ entity and PoK youth kept on killing thousands of Indian civilians and servicemen in the name of jehad? Does that mean that Indian government understands only one language and that is of jehad? So, they do jehad and you invite them with love-what a strategy!
Justice Shagir Ahmed’s move is also a part of this socio-explosive fruit. Strangely though, no open debate on his single line agenda-autonomy to Kashmir. All that is going on is only whispering and that too in J&K media. A little line appeared in national media some days back but it vanished suddenly as if somebody cleverly prevented it from appearing. All hush-hush is only to carry forward a total socio-political jehad that got half done in 1990. Even after 1990 there has been some open and some hidden ethnic cleansing in the valley. Districts of Jammu and Ladakh bordering Kashmir are already infested by those so-called ‘oh-so-poor-and-beloved youth’ of Home Minister-many from PoK and many even from beyond. Most may have some ID of India in the upper pocket and Pakistan passport in the hip pocket! Obviously the Army and other security personnel posted there and even India’s IB and RAW may know it. But Indian government is not interested in their serious inputs given time to time about their growing threat to the rest of India in the name of jehad. Even if some sincere police officer or army man catches them, he is either transferred or that caught man’s women relatives are ready to allege rape-we haven’t forgotten Shopian case yet! That case came in light perhaps because some editor in national media saw through the jehadi game to get army and police removed from that area to get more Pakistanis in.
This is an entire conspiracy of first taking the status of J&K to pre-1953. And then re-create the jehadi border in such a way that even Jammu and bordering Punjab are cleansed ethnically the same way it happened in 1990. This dirty game hasn’t really been confined to J&K anymore. From Assam to Malda and from Bhiwandi near Mumbai to many such mini-Pakistans-this socio-political-explosive tree has spread with many venomous fruits like SIMI, IM and there is no dearth of newer and newer names as one can see. Attack on Mumbai was the proof of how deep the roots of this tree have gone-from Pakistan army to ISI the links are even with some MLAs! When asked they boast, “If anybody from my community asks for help I give it; how do I know he is a terrorist?” What if the same was claimed by many others who were arrested under similar charges?
Until all in Bharat see through the sustained modus operandi of jehad (the word now India’s Home Minister has also started using to describe such attacks! When people like me would use the same word to describe jehadi attacks, the same HM’s party slapped cases on us-many of which still going on in many states irrespective of state and central governments!). When it suits the power, what the historians, social thinkers, intelligence agencies warn of many years becomes a strategy-but half of it taken! Why half? Because if the government follows the full advice then what happens to the ‘cultivated’ vote bank (recall that socio-political-explosive seed’s tree?).
