A ten-day Sanskrit teacher training camp was organised by Paschimbang unit of Samskrit Bharati at Halisahar Swami Nigamananda Ashram from August 21to31. A total of 81 participants including 37 women from 18 districts of the West Bengal attended the camp. Majority of them were postgraduate.
The inaugural ceremony was addressed by Shri Vijay Ganesh Kulkarni, organising secretary of Vidya Bharati Purva Kshetra. Swami Vimalanand Saraswati of Halisahar Nigamananda Math presided over the inaugural ceremony. Speaking at the concluding ceremony Shri Dinesh Kamath, national organising secretary of Samskrit Bharati expressed satisfaction over the organisational progress of Samskrit Bharati in the state. Swami Gynanand Maharaj, head of all Maths of Swami Nigamananda sect, while presiding over the concluding ceremony offered every possible help for the cause of Sanskrit propagation. Prant Pracharak Shri Ramapad Pal and Prant Bauddhik Pramukh Shri Aurobind Das also visited the camp.
