“It is a matter of shame that the people today do not pay adequate attention to senior citizens in the family and the cows. Cows are being slaughtered openly and the elderly people are insulted and neglected. Fact is that both are useful for the society and the nation and there is a need to draw benefit from both,? said noted saint Swami Paranand Teerth. He was addressing a gathering of thousands of devotees assembled at the fifteenth anniversary celebration of Bhavya Jagjanani Darbar at Loni in Ghaziabad on February 3. Shri Bhagwat Puri Maharaj presided over the function.

?Earlier people used to rear Indian breed cows, which are very useful in all respect. Their milk, urine and dung are like amrit. But due to blind following of the west, people are attracted to cross breed cows, which may give more milk but are not much useful. There is a dire need to protect the Indian breed cows,? he added.

He further said the Bhavya Jagjanani Darbar is serving the society by eradicating social evils and imparting Hindu samskars, which is need of the hour at the time when people are attracting to align cultures. ?It is very painful that we the inheritors of great Indian culture which once guided the whole world are now running after everything which is made in foreign countries. This rat race must stop and we should realise our glorious culture,? he added.

In his message, Jyotishpeethadhishwar Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Madhvashram, who could not attend the function due to some preoccupations, appealed to the people to eat satvik meal and follow the Hindu ideals in their daily life. He praised the efforts of Bhavya Jagjanani Darbar for eradicating social evils and promoting sanatan values of life.

Earlier, addressing the gathering, founder of the Darbar Pt. Jaikumar Sharma, who is popularly known as Jalwale Guruji among devotees, appealed to the people to have control over their food, dress and language. ?There is a need to impart sanatan Hindu samskars to the children in families. Follow the Hindu values in day-to-day conduct and find some time for religious activities,? he added.

Presenting the annual report, secretary of the Darbar Shri Shyam Verma pointed out that during the last 15 years a total of 374 dumb persons started speaking, 379 visually challenged got visibility in their eyes, 1,619 heart patients and 99 seriously sick people got well after visiting the Darbar. ?More than 15 lakh devotees visited the Darbar during the last 15 years and more than 72,000 of them abandoned all kinds of addiction. Besides it a total of 2,397 issueless couples got blessed with a child after visiting the Darbar,? he added.

Bhavya Jagjanani Darbar has emerged as a siddhpeeth in the region where thousands of devotees from Delhi, Ghaziabad and adjoining areas visit everyday and get mental peace. The Darbar is playing a key role in restoring the Hindu values of life.
