Ninth state annual convention of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was held in Dehradun on November 10. Representatives from all over the state participated in the convention. Speaking on the occasion ABVP national organising secretary Shri Sunil Ambekar said the whole nation has to fight against Bangladeshi infiltrators and the ABVP would stage a massive demonstration against it on December 17 at Chicken Neck. Acharya Balkrishan of Patanjali Yoga Peeth, Haridwar, said the ABVP did a wonderful job by inculcating the patriotic spirit among the students and it should continue to perform this task in future too as the protection of cultural values is need of the hour. RSS National Executive Member Shri Ram Madhav, senior ABVP leader Shri Ramesh Pappa and many other senior leaders also addressed the delegates. Shri Umed Negi was elected new state president of ABVP while Shri Ramesh Gadiya was elected general secretary.
