A farmers? Sankalp Sabha was organised on the birth anniversary of the late Dattopant Thengadi on November 10 at Armoor under Nizamabad district of Andhra Pradesh.

Shri Madan Das, RSS Sahsarkaryavah, congratulated the farmers for their continued agitation under the aegis of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch against anti-farmer policies of the government. He said though 70 per cent of the population in India depends upon agriculture; government policies have been constantly neglecting the agriculture. As a result farmers are moving away from agriculture and are migrating to cities. He hoped that agitation of the farmers would help in bringing an end to their miseries.

SJM convenor Shri Muralidhar Rao said the Government of Andhra Pradesh was trying to suppress the farmers? agitation through district collector by imposing Section 144. Despite all suppressive methods adopted by the government, the farmers have successfully carried out their agitation. About 500 farmer leaders from 108 villages took part in the Sankalp Sabha.
