Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) condemned the attacks on Hindus in different districts of Assam by Bangladeshi Muslims. In a statement issued in New Delhi Shri Mohan Joshi, central secretary of VHP, said the Muslim infiltrators of Bangladesh have killed more than 40 Hindus belonging to Bodo Rabha, Garo, Khasia Santhal Vanvasi communities in five days in Udalgiri, Darang and Sonitpur Kamrup districts. More than 250 people have seriously been injured. More than two lakh people have migrated to refugee camps. The infiltrators have attacked the police personnel also. The organisations like Assam Minority Students Union, All Asom Students Council and Muslim Association have played a key role in these attacks. The attacks have been made keeping in view the Durga Puja and the state government is protecting the attackers. The VHP demands the Central government to direct the Assam Chief Minister to take effective steps to protect the Hindus in the state.
