Describing Bangladeshi infiltration as a major threat to internal security of the country, Orissa unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad demanded to deport the infiltrators from the state forthwith. Lakhs of Bangladeshi infiltrators are staying in Kendrapara, Nawarangpur, Malkangiri, Bhubaneswar, Puri, Chilika, Ganjam, Balasore, Keonjhar and several other places. The Parishad also demanded removal of the names of infiltrators from the voters? list immediately, establishment of more tribunals for detecting, deleting and deporting infiltrators, to deploy enough force at the border area and to pressurise Bangladesh Government to check the infiltration.

Speaking at a seminar organised in Cuttack ABVP national joint organising secretary Shri B Surendran said illegal infiltration from Bangladesh has become a serious threat to the national security as well as State'sinternal security. He informed that the Parishad would carry out protest meetings across the State and the issue would be further debated at an all-India convention to be held at Patna on September 20 and 21. The Parishad also alleged that several terrorist incidents, including the bomb explosions in Hyderabad have been linked to Harkat-ul-Jehad e-Islami (HuJI), which operates from Bangladesh. Parishad'szonal organising secretary Bishnu Das, state organising secretary Gopinath Sahu, Suprava Jena and Jogashankar Mahaprasatha were also present at the seminar.
