To spread the literacy and education among the poor and masses, Pujya Shankaracharya Maharaj established schools and colleges, till Ph.D. study. To spread the inclination for Sanskrit, Ved-Upanishad, Puranas and Hindu philosophy as well as Hindu religion for youth, Pujya Shankaracharya started Sankrit vidyalayas and research institutes. He believes in spiritual uplift of people along with Hindu ethos and values. The institutes have their own premises, buildings, libraries and research wings along with other facilities. The various ashramshalas and vidyalayas are run by this Peetham in the backward tribal areas of Gujarat & Madhya Pradesh.

Future Plans :
It is the utmost and first wish of Pujya Shankaracharya Maharaj to convert the various colleges under the one roof of ?Vishwa Vidhyapeetham?? a unique centre for spiritualism and values?the dream of Swami Abhinav Sachchidanand Tirth Maharaj, the 77th Shankaracharya of Dwarika. Sharda Peetham Hospital for the poor and down-trodden people, suffering form illness will soon be established in Dwarika after its renovation.

Contrary to the conventional corporate wisdom, Dwarika, the Sharda Peetham on West Coast, consciously chooses not to create hype or exaggeration of its numerous achievements. We always believed and will continue to believe that a qualitative sustainable action plan that strengthens every Indian citizen at the grass-root level with health consciousness, wealth consciousness and spiritual awakening will go a long way in building a powerful India by 2020. This task keeps us in action with dedication!

(The writer is former union minister and is now Member of Parliament.)
(Shri Sharada Peetham, Dwarka, Jamnagar, Gujarat.)
