An anti-terrorism mute rally was organised in Ahmedabad against the bomb blasts in the city and also in some other parts of the state on July 29. The rally began from Town Hall near Vivekanada Bridge and culminated at Income Tax Crossing. Thousands of people including a large number of women under the banner of Anti-Terrorism Front participated in the rally. More than 40 organisations including RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, BJP, Vidya Bharati, Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Bharatiya Vichar Manch, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, Arogya Bharati, National Medicos Organisation, ABVP etc. participated in the rally. Various market and Residents Welfare Associations of Ahmedabad also extended support to the rally.

Before beginning of the rally, tribute was paid to the blast victims. Paying tribute RSS Sahsarkarayvah Shri Madan Das said the central government, state government and the people of the country should unitedly give a befitting reply to the terrorism.

Earlier, Shri Surendra Jain, central secretary of VHP said if Gujarat is not safe we are safe nowhere in the country. ?More than 60,000 innocent lives have been claimed by the terrorists and now if we remain silent we would continue to pay similar homages to the victims,? he said appealing to the society to fight against it unitedly. BJP general secretary (organisation) Shri Ramlal also paid the tribute. Gujarat Prant Sanghachalak Shri Amritbhai Kariwala, Prant Karyavah Shri Sunilbhai Mehta, Prant Pracharak Shri Pravinbhai Otiya, VHP state president Shri Dilipbhai Trivedi, BJP state president Shri Purusho-ttam Rupala were also present on the occasion.
