Activists of VHP and Bajrang Dal strongly protested against the serial killing of 17 cows in Delhi. Seventeen carcasses of cows were found at Agra Canal near Madanpur Khadar in one week. The protestors were arrested by the police but later released. According to Shri Vinod Bansal, media incharge of Indraprastha Vishwa Hindu Parishad, the cows had been stolen from several families of Jasola village. An ox was killed in Paharganj area where two people were arrested and three MCD employees were suspended on April 1. Two tempos, loaded with beef, were handed over to police in R.K. Puram on April 4 along with the driver. Four carcasses of cows were found at Agra Canal on April 12 and six carcasses were found on April 16. Even after so many cases, the police did not take any action. Three FIRs have been registered by Sarita Vihar Police on April 12, 16 and 18 in these cases. Four similar complains are still pending in the same police station.

Talking to Organiser Shri Shailendra Jaisawl, Delhi Pradesh co-convener of Bajrang Dal, described it a planned murder of cows. He demanded the police to conduct a thorough investigation and book the culprits immediately.
