Pt. Nehru is responsible for most of the problems of the country?K.S. Sudarshan

?The person who is responsible for most of the problems India is facing today is Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. The country is today facing the consequences of his wrong policies. He was the person who even ruined the ramrajya dream of Gandhiji,? said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri K.S. Sudarshan. He was speaking at a function held to release the special issue of Swastika, a Bangla weekly, on its 60th anniversary in Kolkata recently.

Shri Sudarshan said the indifferent attitude of Pt. Nehru couldn'tbe ignored?whether it is the Kashmir problem, terrorism in the northeast or even in the Tibet problem. He appealed to the Hindus to get united against expansionist church, jehadi Islam, Maoists, American consumerism and the imperialist forces. He said the traditions of Swami Ramakrishna Paramahansa and Swami Vivekanada would emerge as victorious in this struggle and the ideological newspapers like Swastika should continue to educate the people. He said it is a matter of great pride that Swastika has been spreading the Hindu viewpoint for the last 60 years.

Talking about the journey of Swastika, senior Sangh activist of West Bengal, Shri Amal Kumar Basu pointed out that the swayamsevaks, jailed during the ban on RSS following the assassination of Gandhiji, had resolved in the jail itself to start an ideological weekly to expose the propaganda of the government and also to disseminate the Hindu viewpoint. It was with this objective that the publication of Swastika began on Janmashtami in 1948.

Shri Subir Kumar Bhaumik, the northeast correspondent of BBC, Shri Tarun Vijay, director of Dr Syama Prasad Mookherjee Foundation and Shri Ranendralal Bandyopadhyaya also spoke on the occasion. Shri Sudarshan also honoured three senior journalists, namely Shri Ranjit Rai, Dr Dinesh Chandra Singh and Shri Nirmalendu Vikas Rakshit at the function.
