The author has been associated with the Bharat-Tibet Sahyog Manch since its very inception. In this compilation of articles presented in a seminar, in the first section he talks of the visit of the RSS Sarsanghachalak, Shri Sudarshanji to Mcleodganj to meet the Dalai Lama and discusses in the second section his subsequent meeting with Karmapa Lama to whom the Sarsanghachalak tells, ?You had come to India in 1999. China is a demonic force, whose expansionist designs and communist thinking have heightened its hunger for more and more.? Shri Guruji stresses on Tibet'sfreedom for India'ssecurity. He says, ?But the government of the day did not agree and China swallowed up Tibet. China wants to end the Tibetan identity. The RSS is conscious of this and has always stayed and will stay with Tibet.
Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal says that talks have been going on between China and India and between China and the Tibetans and their representatives have been exchanging visits to find a solution to the vexing issue of Tibetans? displacement from their motherland. He points out that with Chinese occupation of Tibet, Himachal Pradesh has suffered the maximum loss because the borders of two of its districts?Kinnaur and Lahaul touch the border of China and which could create a serious problelm. He adds that he meets many Tibetans who say that their relationship with India is that of the physical body and the soul while with China it is of the wolf and the lamb. ?Why doesn'tthe Indian Government support us in our cause?? the Tibetans ask.
Indresh Kumar says that the question of Tibet has to be solved since it stands at a juncture from where it can be directed towards a final solution if only we were to put in adequate effort. He wants that the issue of Kailash Mansarovar also needs to be taken up with China provided India were to take the initiative.
The RSS Sarsanghachalak, speaking at the national seminar organised by the Bharat-Tibet Sahyog Manch in memory of Guruji Golwalkar, stated that there was historical evidence to prove that Tibet was never a part of China and he vociferously condemned the incidents of alleged violation of human rights in Tibet by the Chinese security guards. The Manch expressed concern over China'sexpansionist plans to connect its boundaries with Nepal and India and asked the India government to review its defence policy towards China and ?to officially take up the issue with China about Tibetans who were killed by Chinese troops on the Nepal-China border.?
