In everyone'slife, incidents take place that have a great significance for them. The incidents can be negative or positive and on pondering over these, one finds that they convey a deep message which says that life is a complex phenomenon governed by many unseen forces. The incidents that occur are not in our control but our role in them is important. This role is played mainly by our thoughts and ?our thoughts have a direct bearing on the course of events in our life?If our thoughts are positive, events turn for the better and if negative, for the worse,? says the author.
When we face a situation with a positive attitude, faith, patience, hope and sincerity, the answers emerge of their own accord.
The author relates many incidents from his personal life and these include the one that conveys that a positive attitude helped him significantly in his life. He sat for the Roorkee entrance examination and his uncle conveyed that he had seen the results. On no response from the author, he asked the latter to guess the outcome. When no response was forthcoming, the uncle conveyed, ?Forget about the selection; you have topped the whole university.?
The author strongly says that ?Do not blame anyone for your torment or degeneration. The cause for your plight, in truth, is inherent in yourself. To redress it, first recognise the freedom, scope and potential your mind holds within it. Make the necessary inner application to bring about the desired improvement or change. Spiritual wisdom beckons you to make such a determined effort.?
The author believes that ?a problem is a problem only as long as we consider it a problem. On the other hand, every problem is an opportunity only as long as we consider it an opportunity in disguise and a greater problem is a greater opportunity.? True, some problems have no answer but they do have a purpose. We have either to find an answer to the problem or seek a purpose behind it, as both enrich our life and make it worth living.
