Noted social activist and father of former Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of RSS, the late Adhish Kumar, passed away in Agra on December 16. He was 73. He was cremated in Agra on December 17. The last rites were performed by his son Shri Avanish Bhatnagar. He is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter. He was paid rich tribute by hundreds of local swayamsevaks and the Sangh adhikaris. More than 200 people belonging to various organisations of Agra were present at the crematorium.
He was not keeping well since the death of Adhishji on July 5, 2007. He could not recover from the setback he received then and was upset. He had also reduced the intake of meals from last a few weeks. On December 16, he suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away within half an hour.
Born in 1924 at Bah village near Agra, Jagdish Bhatnagar retired as Head Master from a government primary school. He was also member of the local Vidya Bharati school management committee. His son Avanish Bhatnagar is a central government employee and is also joint secretary of Vidya Bharati, Pashchim Uttar Pradesh Kshetra. His second son Shri Ashutosh, younger than Adhishji, is news editor in Hindusthan Samachar, New Delhi. The youngest son Shri Ashish Bhatnagar is a senior sub-editor in Dainik Jagran, Agra. (FOC)
