SENIOR saints from various parts of the country as well as from abroad gathered in Haridwar recently and warned the UPA government against the destruction of Ram Sethu. They said nobody would be allowed to destroy the Ram Sethu and the saints would sacrifice themselves for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri K.S. Sudarshan, Swami Satyamitrananda Giri, Swami Ramdev, VHP president Shri Ashok Singhal, general secretary Dr Pravin Togadia, Sadhavi Ritimbhara, Swami Hansdas, BJP state president Shri Bachhi Singh Rawat, Uttarakhand assembly speaker Harbans Kapoor, former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana, Uttarakhand Health Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ?Nishank?, Tourism Minister Prakash Pant and Education Minister Madan Kaushik were among the distinguished gathering.

Speaking on the occasion Shri K. S. Sudarshan said the Ram Sethu must be protected at any cost as it is not only the engineering marvel of the ancient India and symbolises the rich cultural heritage of Hindus, but also is essential for the security of the country. He further said the time for complete change is imminent and indications of it are visible. ?The spiritualism of Bharat will crush terrorism and India will occupy the seat of Vishwaguru soon. Faith in religious activities has increased with spreading terrorism. Shabari Malai religious traveling in Kerala, Pandharpur Anandi in Maharashtra, Amarnath Yatra, Kanwar Yatra are being attended by crores of Hindus. Vaishno Devi pilgrimage has reached its highest point of religious faith. These are the indications of a vast change. Bharat will be established as Vishwaguru by 2011. Though terrorism has stood like a monster before the world but it will have to stoop before the spiritualism of Bharat,? he added.

Presiding over the meeting Acharya Mahamanadleshwar Swami Gurusharnanand demanded the government to cease to acquire the land of Hindu temples. He said the government cannot dare to touch the mosques and churches but it is acquiring Hindu temples shamelessly.

Shri Ashok Singhal charged the government of playing with the sentiments of Hindus. He said it has no concern for Hindu temples and the places of their faith. Now they want to destroy the Ram Sethu, but the Hindus will not allow anyone to do it. Hindus of the country will gather in Delhi on December 30 and they will compel the government to scrap the Sethusamudram project.

Dr Praveen Togadia said the atrocities on Hindus are increasing day by day in Malaysia, Uganda, Fiji, Mauritius, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan but the UPA Government is silent.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister B.C. Khanduri declared that Guru Golwalkar Ghaat from Kangra to Bhimgoda would be constructed and it would be named after second RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Guruji. Shri Khanduri said the co-operation would be extended to saints for keeping the Ganga clean.

MLAs Shri Prem Chand Aggarwal, Smt. Vijay Barthwal, Acharya Balkrishna, BJP general secretary Shri Ajay Bhatt, BJP state organising secretary Shri Naresh Bansal were also present on the occasion.
