?Motherly behaviour, guardianship and leadership are the three dimensions of matrishakti,? said Smt Pramilatai Medhe, Pramukh Sanchalika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, at Laxminarayan Mandir auditorium hall in South Kolkata recently. The function was held to felicitate her after she became the Pramukh Sanchalika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti.
She said, sanskriti is the soul of a nation and the nation no longer exist if that soul becomes dead. She stated that at this juncture the mothers of our country should play a principal role by infusing the samskars of our great culture into their children so as to grow as a glorious nation. The entire future generation grows up with the teachings of their mothers. Swami Vivekananda and Shivaji Maharaj received their samskars from their respective mothers Bhubaneswari Devi and Jeejabai. It is Bengal that produced patriots like Khudiram Bose, Pretilata, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and many others.
She said that we are being taught wrong history, which says that there was never a nation, no courageous history, no culture, etc. Rashtra Sevika Samiti is doing its work to unite the matrishakti of the country, strenghtening both physically and mentally.
Eminent social worker and secretary of a cultural group, Smt Jayashree Mitra was the chief guest. She said not feminism (woman liberty) but duty towards the society and country is essential in the present era.
