Agartala: Break away leaders of INPT have formed a new political party in Tripura on December 10 night. The name of the new party would be National Conference of Tripura. Rabindra Kishore Debbarma, one of the prominent leaders in tribal politics, has been nominated as it'sgeneral secretary. ?Several other leaders from Indegenous Nationalist Party of Tripura and ruling CPM have joined the party. Some of them are MLA Animesh Debbarma(INPT), Shabda Kumar Jamatia(central committee leader of INPT), ex minister of Tripura Kartik Kanya Debbarma(CPM), Nakshatra Jamatia(CPM candidate in last assembly election) and prominent communist leaders Kejari Mag and Nand Kishore Reang.?The announcement of formation of new party made at a conference held at Darjeeling tilla under Teliamura sub-division in West Tripura. Animesh Debbarma alleged that INPT has turned away from it'sbasic ideals and the leaders are now busy in achieving personal gains manipulating party positions. Therefore, INPT is in fact a bankrupt political party.?Break away CPM leader and ex-minister of Tripura Smt Kartik Kanya Debbarma attacked CPM by saying that this party has no love for tribals and knows all techniques of cheating. Pointing at Tripura Upajati Ganamukti Parishad(GMP) she said, GMP was formed to see the interests of tribals are secured. But presently it has become the tail of CPM and is run by Bengali CPM leaders.?The leaders demanded that the mass tribals are with them and they will defeat CPM and root out INPT from hills in coming assembly elections.?
