Activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and some other organisations of Gujarat staged a massive demonstration near the Income Tax Circle in Ahemdabad and demanded immediate hanging Afzal, who has been sentenced death by the Supreme Court in Parliament attack case. More than 1,000 activists participated in the demonstration. The activists were carrying an effigy of Afzal and later they burnt it. The activists also demanded that all those who are trying to save the traitors should also be hanged in public.
Meanwhile in Surat, the city Sanghachalak Thakur Krishna Shah submitted a memorandum to the Collector of Surat for maintaining death sentence for Afzal Guru. (VSK, Gujarat)
