The highest decision-making body of Ramjanma-bhoomi movement, The Ram Mandir Nirman Uchchadhikar Samiti, has worked out a comprehensive programme to reach every district headquarters of the country to give momentum to the ongoing Ram temple movement.
President of the highest decision-making body of Ram temple movement, Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati declared in New Delhi on October 26 that the Samiti would organise Hindu conferences and public meetings in all districts of the country between December 1 and 6 to mobilise Hindus and strengthen their resolve for construction of Shri Ram temple. He said public meetings would be organised in every district with the help of Hindus and the like-minded other nationalist organisations to secure more participation of Hindus.
Reiterating saints? resolve to build Ram temple in Ayodhya itself, the Shankaracharya explained the comprehensive programme and declared that in every public meetings people would be asked to accept four resolutions, which the highest decision-making body has passed unanimously in its meeting held on September 15 in New Delhi. The four resolutions include??Ram temple will be built at the same place where Ramlala today is situated; no mosque will be allowed to be constructed within the cultural boundary of Ayodhya as defined by Goswami Tulsidas in Ramcharitmanas; no mosque will be allowed in the name of invader Babur; and Ram temple will be built with the same stones collected by the Ramjanmabhoomi Nyas and which have been stored in Ayodhya after proper carving.? They are the stones for which devotees of three lakh villages donated Rs 1.25 each in 1989-90.
The Shankaracharya also declared that a signature campaign would be launched among the saints of every district, village and province to adopt the same four resolutions.
Meanwhile talking to Organiser in New Delhi VHP president Shri Ashok Singhal came down heavily on the efforts by some so-called secularists to cause delay in the court order on Shri Ram temple. He said the witnesses from both sides are complete in the court and after a brief debate the court may deliver its verdict any time in the next month. ?The proceedings in the court are at the final stage. But there are attempts by some people including some saints to cause delay in the court verdict. But the Hindu society will not tolerate any such attempt. People of this country know very well who are these forces and they are also aware that nobody is with them,? Shri Singhal said.
Shri Singhal hoped that the court verdict would go in favour of Hindus as all the evidences including the excavation, which was undertaken with the direction of the court, support Hindus? claim that there was a temple at the disputed site. ?If this judgment is not delivered now, it may take unexpected time as some of the judges of the bench are going to retire soon and the new judges who will assume charges would require years to study the whole case which has more than 15,000-page documents,? Shri Singhal said.
Shri Singhal appealed to the leaders of all political parties, who have soft corner for Ram temple, not to create any hurdle in the court proceedings and pave the way for speedy court judgment. He made it clear that Shri Ram temple would be built at the sanctum sanctorum where Ramlala is installed now.
