Inaugurating the National Security Week Observance by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha at the Press Club hall in Thiruvananthapuram on August 3, Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, M.P. and former HRD Minister said that Pakistan is going to have a huge nuclear reactor which will produce 50-100 nuclear bombs per year. He cautioned the nation to be prepared for nuclear war.
Shri Joshi said security means not only geographical or strategic security but covers a wide spectrum which includes food, economic and cultural security. He said that internal security is directly related to our strategic security. ?The Mumbai blasts were planned meticulously and with extreme finesse. Seven blasts took place in two minutes gap. There is a general pattern on terrorist activity which is sponsored cross-border on the east and west from Bangladesh and Pakistan?.
M.M. Joshi continued that there are two goals for CBT, short-term and long-term. ?Pak foreign minister Kasauri says that terrorism will continue till Kashmir issue is not settled to Pak'ssatisfaction, whereas, India'sstand is that it will be settled if CBT is stopped. Both have divergent views. A book written by Brigadier Mallik foreword of which was written by late President Zia-ul-Haq, says that terror should be struck in the heart of the enemy, to impose our objective on the enemy, so as to demoralise him. This is applicable both for conventional and nuclear war fare. Terrorism is not only Pak'smilitary policy but also foreign policy. By attacking J&K assembly, Parliament, Mumbai, Akshardham, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Bangalore and even threatened to blast Taj Mahal, Pakistan wants to keep India on tenter hooks and to crush India politically, economically, technically and culturally. They want to stop flow of FDI to India and owing to Mumbai blasts 90 bullion dollars investment is in cold storage.
As regards long term goals, Joshiji further said, ?Z.A. Bhutto said conflict is not confined to Kashmir but also extended to Assam and several districts of West Bengal.? Pak and Bangladesh have created a new axis, they are now thick friends. Henry Kissinger says that Pak and Bangladesh will join together to carve a new nation out of North-East. In 1930, Chaudhary Rehmat Ali of Cambridge University propounded the two-nation theory which was hijacked by M.A. Jinnah in 1940. Later Chaudhary went further; he spoke of Pak Asia covering India, Pak and total destruction of Hindu Culture since it is alien.
?India is home to all religions of the world, whose numbers is from crores to hundreds. From Gibraltor to Indonesia, India is the only country having democracy, secularism, free press, independent judiciary, free market economy and strong industrial and agricultural base. Terrorism wants to destroy everything Indian?.
?Apart from CBT, the greatest threat is CBI (Cross Border Infiltration). In Assam, in Muslim dominated districts, they want administration to run on Shariat.?
U.S. has now given a call for ?Global War on Terrorism?, post 9-11, but India is fighting terrorism from 1947. 135 jehadi organisations are operating in the world and 35 countries including India, US, UK, Germany, France, Malaysia etc., are its victims. Despite giving concrete evidence of ISI hand in Mumbai blasts, US and Pak are asking for more evidences. US knows that Pak is a rogue state but it will not act against Pak because of oil politics, its interests in Central and West Asia and to prevent Pak axis with China. US needs Pakistan and vice-versa?.
Ridiculing the left for its pro-extremist Muslim stand for vote-banks, Dr Joshiji said, that terrorism cannot be fought by comparing Madahni with Gandhiji as E.M.S. once did. He jocularly remarked ?a donkey has two ears, man has two ears, are they one? Perhaps according to EMS, Madahni is greater than Gandhiji since he spoke for only Muslims whereas Gandhi represented all?. He said similarly in U.P. Mulayam and Salman Khursheed are competing with each other in praising SIMI and advocating removal of ban. ?Politicians placating terrorists are also terrorists?, he thundered.
Concluding his brilliant oration, he said a nation of highly competent and intelligent one billion of population should be brave and face the challenges unitedly. ?India should not be a soft state and for the sake of power national safety should not be compromised. The Indo-US Nuclear deal has mortgaged our strategic security and has made us a Client State of U.S. When U.S. threatened sanctions after the Pokhran explosion, we said go ahead. Since entire U.S. Science programme is managed by Indians. The US-ICAR accord is a serious threat to our food security. Only a united and strong India determined against terror and having roots in its age-old culture, can be a beacon light to the whole World?.
