Forest, Tourism, Culture, Law and Legal Affairs, Sports and Youth Welfare, Rehabilitation, Revenue Minister of Chhattisgarh, Brijmohan Agrawal has come long way in his political career spanning from student'sdays to become the mass leader. Born on May 1, 1959, Brijmohan, the seed of social service was sown in his mind by his father Ramji Lal Agrawal, a social worker. He started his political career from 1976 through Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. He was the person behind forming Students Welcome Committee in 1980. He found that good students were back tracking from politics. Deriving ample energy from Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, he entered full-time politics. He was student'sbodies president in Durga College and Kalyan College, Bhilai.

He had also spent seven days in jail during Government Ayurvedic College Raipur students? movement. He was made state General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in 1986 and in 90'sand later become state vice president of BJYM. The senior leaders imposing faith in this young turk gave ticket for MLA in 1990 during undivided Madhya Pradesh and won the Raipur seat and became the tourism minister.

He won the seat for the fourth consecutive time. He is available for the people at any time even late nights working for hours together. He is also known as mass leader as people wait for hours to have a glimpse and his electrifying presence in a function even after he is hours behind the schedule. It is said that he has sharp memory recalling the persons by name. His never-say-no attitude has also won many admirers. Agrawal has also a bend on spirituality. The Rajim Kumbh commencement and running it successfully for two years had won many hearts among the seers.

During the closing ceremony of the Rajim Kumbh, the seers had given the title of Mahamandleshwar. He had even announced aid to devotees going for Mansarovar yatra. The facilities have already being extended to the Hajis? in the newly formed state. Agrawal in the Vidhan Sabha had stated that the temples will be renovated, the initiatives for increasing the pay of priests and Rajim Kumbh will be organised every year. No stones have been left unturned to bring the state in tourist map of the country and world. He had also won various laurels. Well wishers have extended greetings for his birthday and long life.
