The bomb blast at the Sankat Mochan Mandir in Varanasi left the whole city stunned. Soon after getting the news of the blast, the RSS swayamsevaks rushed on the spot and started relief activities. A group of swayamsevaks also rushed to hospital for helping the injured people. They continued to help the victims at the hospital throughout night on March 7. When state Chief Minster Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav reached BHU hospital to meet the victims, the security officers of the CM asked the swayamsevaks to vacate the ward. It angered the victims and they said, ?We don'twant Shri Mulayam Singh here, we want Sangh swayamsevaks who have been serving us since yesterday evening.? A seriously injured lady who was admitted in Ward 12 even shut the door saying, ?There is no need of these leaders here. They just create problems.? Hearing this from the lady, the security officers started apologising from the swayamsevaks. Not only did they provide relief to the victims, the 160 swayamsevaks also donated blood.
