Apropos Religions should renew and reassess (Organiser, 8-1-2006); The writer has focussed over the so-called injustice meted out to Muslim women in the country and blamed the Muslim Personal Law for this. He has cited different cases?from Shah Bano to Imrana in this regard. The Shariah as applied to the members of the Muslim community in India is only partial and no law, if applied in isolation, could guarantee full justice.
