Stressing the need for promoting the Indian system of medicines, the RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri K.S. Sudarshan said the system has the capacity to cure the diseases fully. He was speaking at a function held by Bharat Vikas Parishad in Kota recently. He advised people not to be dependent upon only one medicinal system but to take advantage of all the systems. He said the Indian system of medicines including Ayurveda, Yoga, Pranayam, naturopathy, etc. have developed with the experiment of hundreds of years and these systems have been curing the people not only in India but all over the world. ?But due to the influence of the western culture, people are getting attracted to allopathy, which while treating one disease develops various other diseases in the body. Countrymen should be made aware so that under the misguiding propaganda of multinational drug companies they should not feel them ineffective,? he said. Citing the example of Vanvasi girls who were trained in first aid and in the task of midwife in some Vanvasi areas, Shri Sudarshan narrated how the trained Vanvasi girls reduced the mortality rate in Vanvasi areas and also apprised people how to remain healthy. Praising the efforts of Swami Ramdev who is teaching yoga, Shri Sudarshan said lakhs of people are taking advantage of his simple methods.
