Annual conference of Kerala Drishtihin Kalyan Sangh

The Kerala unit of Akhil Bharatiya Drishtihin Kalyan Sangh celebrated the Surdas Jayanti on May 13. The traditional Thyagaraja Panchratna Keertan was performed before the deity of Sreekrishna temple in Mavelikkara by 30 visually-challenged singers. Individual worship through singing of devotional songs by the artistes was led by renowned musicians. The Surdas Jayanti Sammelan was inaugurated by Zila Sanghchalak of RSS, Shri M.K. Ravivarma. RSS Prant Bauddhik Pramukh, Shri Ramachandra Master delivered the keynote address.

It was followed by the fifth annual conference of the Sangh, which was inaugurated by Acharya Narendra Bhushan, state president of Arya Samaj, on May 14. Shri Ramchandra Master, Dr K. Jayaprasad, state secretary of Bharatiya Vichar Kendra, Shri V.S. Rajmohan, Vibhag Karyavah, spoke on the occasion. An organisational conference was also organised on May 15. The state committee was reorganised at the meeting. More than 100 visually-challenged persons attended the conference.
