Website of Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad, Madhya Pradesh, was recently inaugurated by Shri Suresh Soni, Sahsarkaryavah of RSS. The website provides the details of the mission, projects, events and office-bearers of the Parishad. It also focuses on the misconceptions and myths associated with the Vanvasis owing to the mal-propaganda launched by British and Christian missionaries and also on the emphasis on the need for increased interaction between the urban society and the Vanvasis. The site also provides details on the forthcoming project of the Kalyan Parishad?Shivganga?a watershed programme in Jhabua region of Madhya Pradesh. The projects aims at bringing the rain-water retention level in the region from the existing 7 per cent to 15 per cent by digging trenches, constructing check-dams, stop-dams and ponds, recharging existing tubewells, wells and boribands.
