Shri Hastimal, Akhil Bharatiya Sampark Pramukh of RSS, while expressing grave concern over the adverse circumstances prevailing in the country, has appealed to the intellectuals to contribute substantially to save the nation from times of adversity. Addressing a gathering of intellectuals and distinguished people at Bharati Bhavan in Jaipur on December 4, he exposed the various conspiracies being hatched against the country. He said the forces that divided the country in 1947 on the basis of religion, were again ready to divide the country. “The growth in Hindus population is just 20 per cent, but it is 32 per cent among Muslims and 29 per cent among Christians. Separatist forces are trying to create a separate homeland comprising certain parts of Assam, West Bengal, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. About 40 per cent of the districts of these states have become Muslim-dominated,” he regretted. Talking about under-developed areas of the country, he said that Hindus were being converted into Christianity in Vanvasi areas through allurements and fraudulent means. On population control he said that China had controlled its population to a great extent by implementing the one-child norm and which had contributed in its economic growth. “But in our country, family planning is followed only by the Hindus,” he said. He pointed out that the Anti-conversion Bill, brought by Tamil Nadu government before Lok Sabha elections, was withdrawn by it after the elections. Highlighting the service projects being run by Swayamsevaks and the like-minded organisations, he appealed to the people to contribute in various activities of social upliftment.
