Time was when every Congress courtier had loyally acclaimed Priyanka as a treasure-house of all wisdom in the world. But times change, and the more the times change, the more they remain the same. So Satiricus more or less expected that once little brother Rahul become an MP, he would also be automatically blessed with instant wisdom. And what use is the wisdom of women and men like Priyanka and Rahul if it does not benefit ignorant louts of the RSS and the BJP like Satiricus?
So this benighted soul saw divine light when Rahul recently said, ?Lord Rama had made it clear to the saffron party in the last Lok Sabha elections that it would not benefit by using his name.? Good Lord! This ignoramus was labouring under the stupid impression that this party lost not because it was a saffron party but because it was not a saffron party, and not because it used Lord Rama'sname but because it did not use the Lord'sname. Rahul further said the RSS and the BJP should come to ?mainstream politics?, ?because the real fight in the country is between mainstream politicians?. Ah, is it not surpassingly strange that Atal Behari Vajpayee, in politics for 50 years, should not know what Rahul Nehru-Gandhi, an MP of six months, knows so clearly and so instantly?
Oh, well, perhaps the regrettable deficiency in poor Shri Vajpayee'sunderstanding of politics is due to the fell fact that he knew only the Indian mainstream, and not the Italian?let alone the Colombian.
