Dr Sonda Narayan Bhat, editor of Aseema, a Kannada monthly, passed away in Mangalore on September 3. He was 48. He was cremated in his native village near Sonda. Dr Bhat was founder-editor of Aseema and was also Vibhag Bauddhik Pramukh of Mangalore. He had written various Sangh songs in Kannada. A multifaceted talent with very humble and disciplined nature, Dr Sonda was a well-known personality. He was a Sanskrit professor at Govinddas College in Surathkal. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. Senior Sangh workers and local Swayamsevaks paid their tributes to the departed soul.
