The Stalinists and the proponents of distorted secularism are egging HRD Minister Arjun Singh on to measure swords with the Sangh. They want him to persist with his blatant lies about RSS involvement in the Mahatma'sassassination and have publicly assured him that the entire ?secular-liberal? gang will support him to the hilt in his war against ?communal? forces. Communists? strategy to divide the society on one or other issue in their insatiable hunger for power without responsibility is legendary. They look for bali ka bakras to wage battles against their ideological and political adversaries. They have found a willing one in the ageing HRD Minister. He seems to have convinced himself that he would be able to project himself as a ?martyr in the cause of secularism? even if the courts come down heavily on him for making allegations that are palpably false and manufactured to malign the patriotic organisation. That explains his rhetoric about his commitment to the ?Congress ideology? (?). He can be given the benefit of doubt on this as the Congress party is bereft of any trace of ideology. As of now, the only ?ideology? that counts in the party is the loyalty to the Italy-born lady. And Arjun Singh proved his loyalty beyond a shadow of doubt. He revolted against P.V Narasimha Rao with the consent of 10, Janpath and has been duly rewarded like all others who quit the party when she was not in command.
Only a self-confessed Stalinist (Remember, a top CPM leader telling a news conference that he was proud of being a Stalinist) can dub committed patriots as ?self-styled desh bhakts?. Patriotism is ingrained in the soul of every Swayamsevak. Communists, on the other hand, have proved by their actions on more than one occasion, that they have extra territorial loyalties bordering on treachery. They supported the Nazis till Hitler attacked Soviet Union ? their fatherland ? and betrayed the nation by sabotaging the Quit India movement once the Soviet Union joined hands with the Allies. They provided the ideological justification for the creation of Pakistan and played a big role in the vivisection of the motherland. They acted as shameless traitors in 1962 by justifying the Chinese attack on India by propagating that it was India that was the aggressor. The CPI supported Smt. Indira Gandhi'sassault on democratic institutions during the hated Emergency. They have no moral right to talk about democracy and patriotism. Communists and the crypto-communists that dominate English-language media talk of fighting ?communalism? even while they have no qualms of conscience in supporting a government that has Muslim League ? a party that demanded and forced the Partition of India ? as one of its coalition partners.
A senior journalist, notorious for his venomous writings against Hindu outfits, says the onus is on the RSS to decide whether by challenging Arjun Singh in the courts it would be willing to be subjected to exacting judicial scrutiny and prolonged public exposure. The gentleman has grossly under-estimated the stamina and the courage of the RSS and its leadership. The Sangh is no secret organisation and is never afraid of stringent judicial scrutiny of its ideology and work. In fact, it welcomes such a scrutiny. The Sangh has emerged victorious in countless legal battles thrust upon it. One of the recent ones is the judgement of the P.K. Bahri Tribunal set up under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 after the RSS was banned in the wake of the demolition of the Babri structure in 1992. Justice Bahri, then a sitting judge of the Delhi High Court, cancelled the declaration banning the Sangh on the ground that ?there was not sufficient cause for declaring the RSS as an unlawful association?. Justice Bahri inter alia held that the ban couldn'tbe justified on the ?fact mentioned in the notification? that the RSS Swayamsevaks had participated in the demolition of the structure commonly known as Ram Janmabhoomi Babri Masjid. And who was the senior counsel of the government in the case? None other than senior advocate R.P. Anand, who is now a Congress MP and claims that Arjun Singh had made use of ?facts and material? made available by him. If that were so, God save Arjun Singh for Anand's?facts and material? did not carry much weight with the Bahri Tribunal.
Arjun should also read, for the Courts nail his lie.
The Sangh is no secret organisation and is never afraid of stringent judicial scrutiny of its ideology and work. In fact, it welcomes such a scrutiny. The Sangh has emerged victorious in countless legal battles thrust upon it.
Another fiction invented by an anti-Hindu magazine relates to the imaginary recovery of two locked trunks containing a detailed blueprint of physical elimination of Muslims in UP from a house ?used? by Shri Guruji during the run up to the Mahatma'sassassination. If that were so, why didn'tthe government of the day produce the ?blueprint? in the court that tried Godse for Gandhiji'smurder? And why was that material kept away from numerous commissions that went into the Gandhi assassination and subsequent communal riots in UP? The only logical conclusion is that all this is pure fabrication and hallucinations of a sick mind. Shri Guruji never lived in UP but he extensively toured the length and breadth of the country for 33 long years, spending more than 200 days outside his headquarters every year. He stayed with RSS sympathisers and even with critics of the RSS during his nationwide tours. And it is a matter of record that Shri Guruji never went underground. Immediately after hearing the tragic news of Gandhi'sassassination he announced suspension of RSS activities for 13 days and rushed back to Nagpur. Someone talking about Guruji going underground must be talking through his hat.
The pseudo-secularists have misread the verdict 2004. If the middle classes didn'tvote for the BJP in good numbers in the recent parliamentary elections, it was not because they are against Hindutva but because of their perception that the party had diluted its ideology. The unjustified and malicious attacks on the RSS ? the sword arm of the Hindu society?by the communist-Congress gang has caused deep anguish and revulsion in the Hindu society, particularly the middle classes, for they know it is a part of the deep-rooted conspiracy to humiliate the majority to appease the Muslims.
