The allegation of assault, sexual harassment, gutting of house and many more as alleged against the RSS by one Dinabandhu Nayak and endorsed by two unheard of human rights organisations, namely Ambedkar Lohia Bichar Manch and Social Action Forum, in Nimapara district, Orissa, is totally baseless, said RSS state joint secretary, Gopal Prashad Mohapatra.

The RSS leader reacting to some media reports, ‘dalit boy abused’ in RSS camp at Nimapara, said that the RSS never believed in any division among Hindus. He said that the RSS considered all Hindus one and there was no place for discrimination on the basis of caste.

The Nimapara issue is a glaring example of how RSS baiters are trying to put the so-called dalits against RSS with an intention to create differences in Hindu society for their ulterior motive, Shri Mohapatra said.

The RSS clarified that Dinabandhu Nayak had never been a Swayamsevak as claimed by him in the press conference. In fact, he was handed over to police in charge of stealing the belongings of RSS camp inmates at Nimapara, the RSS leader pointed out and added that Shri Nayak was not a participant in the camp but was an intruder there.

He also clarified that sexual harassment as the so-called human rights organisations had alleged was not even mentioned in the FIR filed by Shri Nayak’s sister in Nimapara Police Station. He further clarified that none from these organisations in course of their claimed investigation into the matter had ever met any RSS functionary.

“RSS baiters are simply making an issue out of it to get cheap publicity and spit venom against RSS to which they are ideologically opposed”, Shri Mohapatra said.

While talking to Organiser, Shri Ajit Mahapatra, Prant Pracharak, Orissa, said that this was a baseless allegation and a vicious campaign against RSS by some organisations that without properly inquiring into the matter alleged RSS. “The RSS has clearly clarified its stand and is not involved in any assault on or harassment to anyone. Some of our bete noire organisations are unnecessarily dragging RSS into it”, he said.
