Women power of Bharat was celebrated in a unique way in Maha Kumbh through “Rashtra Ratna Shobha Yatra”

Sanskar Bharti organised a cultural event titled Maha Kumbh 2025 from January 18, 2025 to February 10, 2025. Prominent artists, scholars, theatre artists, singers, dancers and culture enthusiasts from across the country participated in various cultural programmes organised during this period. Commemorating the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, this camp complex located at Sector 10, Bajrangdas Marg Prayagraj was named as “ Maheshwar Complex”. Along with this, the 500th and 525th birth anniversaries of Rani Durgavati and Sant Mirabai were commemorated in various programmes.

Veer Meera Bhajan Programme: This was a confluence of Bhakti (devotion) and Veer Ras. Meerabai’s bhajans are usually sung in Bhakti Ras, but in this special programme, Meera’s courageous side was depicted. Padmashree Sumitra Guha, famous singer of Bharatiya classical music, presented those bhajans of Meera that had the spirit of bravery, determination and struggle as prominent characteristics. Her powerful voice mesmerised everyone.

Staging of Plays

Jabalpur’s theatre institute staged a play titled Durgavati based on the valour, sacrifice and indomitable courage of Rani Durgavati, the warrior of Bharatiya history. The play ‘Punyashlok Lokmata’ was staged by Kavyashali Creations of Mumbai. Keeping the current young generation in mind, an inspiring introduction to the works of Devi Ahilyabai was given through this play.

Sand Art

Sand art of “Punyashlok Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar” was created by young artists in association with Dr Sachin Saini of Prayagraj University, which was inaugurated by Union Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

Rashtra Ratna Shobhayatra (Procession)

On January 22, 2025, the pride of the women power of Bharat was celebrated in a unique way in Maha Kumbh through the “Rashtra Ratna Shobha Yatra” of the brave women, who contributed to the resurgence of Bharat. A grand procession of about 200 divine forms from all the provinces of the country was taken out. This included Savitribai Phule, Maharani Lakshmibai, Rani Chennamma, Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, Lata Mangeshkar, Mahadevi Verma, Kalpana Chawla, Gaura Devi, Teelu Rauteli, Sister Nivedita and Maharani Jijamata, who gave the message of renaissance to the women power who displayed their bravery and intelligence in the national, social, cultural, political and spiritual fields of Bharat, a message of national, social and cultural reawakening was given to the present generations by paying homage to them. This procession was led by the female karyakartas dressed as Lokmata Ahilyadevi, Rani Durgavati and Sant Mirabai.

More than 200 women from 21 provinces of 16 States participated in the costumes of historical warriors in this procession. In this, the female karyakartas introduced 107 warriors, social reformers and sants by wearing special costumes. The inauguration of “Rashtra Ratna Shobha Yatra” was done by Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat by waving the saffron flag. The presence of All India Vice President of Sanskar Bharati Dr Hemlata S Mohan, Organising Secretary Shri Abhijit Gokhale, Matrishakti Convenor Smt Anita Karkare, Matrishakti Co-Convenor Smt Mithilesh Tiwari, Stage Arrangement Convenor Shri Devendra Rawat and other national and prantiya (provincial) officials made the programme even more dignified.

The procession was taken out from “Maheshwar premises” to the banks of Ganga. The procession concluded with Ganga Aarti and Vande Mataram. Apart from these programmes, various art presentations and picture exhibitions were organised from all the states of Uttar Pradesh.
